Meet our Servals! The serval is native to Sub-Sahara Africa, and there are small populations in SW Africa.  They live in the savannah which has heavy, long, grass vegetation.

Servals are a medium-sized cat. They can range from 18 to 24 inches and weigh 18 to 45 pounds. The resemble a miniature cheetah, except that they have a relatively short tail. They are the longest (relative to body) size of all cats.  Their long legs give the cat a higher position for its ears. Its large ears are highly sensitive to allow them to zero in on prey they can't even see!  It is reported that a serval can pounce on and land on a mouse from 20 feet away.

Chicken for African ServalTerri feeds the servals a diet that is guaranteed to give them the best possible health. This picture shows the chicken that one serval will consume in a week!
