We Desperately Need Donations!
Since the inception of its 501 (3) c corporation status in December of 2000, Sara’s Sanctuary has been a place of refuge for hundreds of neglected animals and has provided the care needed to allow these animals to thrive in a secure and loving environment for the duration of their lives.
Sara’s Sanctuary survives solely by the goodness and generosity of people who truly love animals, who believe in what we do and who are willing to financially support our cause. It is very expensive to provide the quality medical care, food and appropriate shelter needed for each of the animals that have come to live here at the Sanctuary.
Many of the animals arrive in here in desperate condition. Each one will receive the necessary medical attention, rehabilitation, shelter, sustenance and an abundance of love.
Our vision goes beyond the obvious tasks of rescuing and caring for animals. We continue our mission to educate the public about animal neglect and abuse and it’s prevention, with the hope of helping to reduce the large number of animals left in distressful situations, without food, water, shelter or love.
Continued public support is essential to continue to provide for the many mistreated animals that find their way to Sara’s Sanctuary each year.
Sara’s Sanctuary operates 100% with an all-volunteer staff and NO administrative salaries or paid directors. When you donate, you can be sure that 100% of you money give will go directly towards one of the following:
· Veterinary expenses, medical care, health maintenance
· Fresh produce, meat and dry feed
· Enclosure construction and maintenance
· Utility costs (approaches $2,000 per month in the Winter)
We run on a very tight budget, and unfortunately, with the state of the economy this year, donations have been way down. Even a $10 donation can make a difference!
